    Michael slowly approaches Kat, "So you're a hunter too."

    Kat opens her eyes and looks at the boy, "Yes, I am a hunter, but my mom never was one."

    "So why did you lie."

    Kat smiles, "To find the Alteration, the community had to be comfortable with us."

    "Do you always lie?" He asks, looking a little sad.

    Kat shakes her head, "This was a special case."

    Cade walks up, "So after all this do you still want to be a hunter."

    Michael thinks about it then shakes his head. Cade laughs and ruffles Michael's hair. Michael looks like he wants to say something, but at that moment, the support team arrives. A man runs over to Kat with a medical kit.

    "Where are you hurt?" he asks all business.

    Kat lifts her shirt, exposing her wound, "I may also have one on my back."

    The medic nods and turns to Cade, "What about you."

    "Nothing except aching fingers."

    Kat snorts, "That because you never do any work."

    Cade pulls a mock wounded look, "that hurt, do you care so little of me."

    Kat ignores him as the medic bandages her, "For the next couple of days you shouldn't fight. You can practice but nothing too strenuous. I will tell Silias just in case you try to go anyway."

    Kat nods and the medic moves off to talk to Silias. Cade smiles at Kat, "You're going to be stuck at home while the rest of us work."

    Kat smiles back, "don't forget when I'm stuck at home you are too, partner."

    The smile drops from Cade's face, and he turns away. Kat also releases her smile and stands up. Ignoring the mutterings of Cade, she walks over to her boss.

    "So what do you think?"

    Silias sighs, "I think your theory is correct, which is unsettling. I have never heard of an Alteration who could hijack another Alteration. But a lot of things are happening that I never thought possible."

    Kat nods, "the Queen seems to be behind everything. If we capture her, I have a feeling we will get a lot of answers?"

    "But you will be resting."

    "Ok, that's enough," Silias sighs, "Jace, you promised to behave."

    They all drop their arms and Jace shrugs, "I was just joking."

    Kat glares at him, "Let's see you fight an E in a skirt and see how much you want to joke afterward."

    Cade tries to hide his laughter only halfway succeeding. Jace narrows his eyes and Silias steps in, "Kat, why don't you explain."

    "We were attending a party when Alterations attacked. I protected the people while Cade went to get more weapons from our house. Then he protected the house while I fetched kids and went after our target."

    Kat led them to where the fight took place, "It was obvious when I first started fighting him that he was not the original target. He was a high-class Bone Alteration able to fully remove and shape his bones. I estimate he is an E2."

    After showing them the damage, she took them to the pile of bones, "I suspect he hijacked our original target."

    "Which would have lowered his power," Silias says looking at the bones.

    "If his power was lowered, it didn't seem to be a problem for him. He acted like he was toying with me."

    That's a serious problem then," Silias comments, "Did he speak?"

    Kat nods, "And from what he said it sounded like the Queen arranged this?"

    Cade speaks, "Its possible she wanted to lure hunters out here and test what they could do."

    Jace nods, "What kind of Alterations were the ones in the town?"

    "A's mostly."

    Silias looks around, "We're not going to get answers standing around here. Let's see what the residents have to say"

    They nod, and Cade leads them to the house. When they approach the house, the door swings open and Patty flies out crashing into Kat, causing her to wince.

    "I was so worried," She sobs.

    Jace smirks, and after giving him a dirty look, Kat peels Patty off her, "Patty, let me introduce you to my boss, Silias."

    Silias bows, "Nice to meet you."

    Others cautiously come outside. And Silias looks around again, "Jace take your partner and make sure all Alterations are gone. Then call in the support team so we can begin to put this place back in order."

    Jace nods, and they run off, "Kat as soon the support team shows get your wounds checked until then don't move. Cade, introduce people."

    Kat sits on the porch steps as Cade begins talking and closes her eyes.

Camping

So dear readers because I became sick and some other things came up I probably wont be going camping and if I don't go camping I will post on schedule. Thanks for reading I appreciate you guys reading this. If you didn't I would be posting randomly so thanks again.

Hooray! We have reached number 20! On another note next week I will not be posting because I will be camping from Wednesday to Saturday. If I'm not super tired on Saturday I will try to post then.

Purple Moon

Half Moon 20

    Kat stands with her arm outstretched, surprised. After a moment, her legs give out, and she collapses. She stabs her sword into the ground to stop from falling, but her knees still hit the ground.

    "Are you alright, Kat?" Cade calls, "Or do I have to take your place fighting the E."

    "Shut up, Cade," Kat growls back.

    Cade laughs, "If your that grumpy, you must be ok."

    Kat slowly gets to her feet and leans heavily on her sword. She tries to stand on her own and pain shoots through her side. Kat looks at the wound the Alteration gave her at the beginning of the battle and see that it was deeper than she had initially thought.

    The wound on her back starts throbbing, and she sighs. She pulls her sword out the ground and carefully makes her way over to where Cade is.

    When she gets there, Cade is already on the ground, "So you are alive."

    She glares at him, "Did you call Silias?"

    "Of course, but it wasn't long after the call ended that the Alterations vanished."

    Kat nods, "Just as I was starting to get serious, the E turned to bones."

    Cade looks in the distance, "He hijacked, that's not good."

    "He didn't match the description we were given besides that he could talk."

    Cade looks at her, startled, "Then what happened to our target."

    Kat shrugs, "I don't know, he didn't say much but from what he did say I figure the Queen is the one who ordered this."

    Cade glances at her side, "I'm going to do what I can salvage from the house. Will you be able to handle it if I leave?"

    Kat nods, "And bring me back some pills."

    He smiles, "Not getting dependant, are you?"

    She glares at him, and he laughs while walking off. She wipes her swords off the best that she can on her blood-stained dress. She's starting to grow frustrated when Cade returns.

    He tosses her some clothes and her pills. She eats a couple before checking out the clothing. A pair of pants she assumes came from his collection and a shirt that she vaguely remembers Adalia talking about. She strips off the tattered dress and puts on what he brought her.
    He tosses her a bandage kit which she uses on she side wound before finishing wiping her swords.
   Once Cade is sure she is done, he says "The house is completely trashed. Most of the weapons are safe, but the council will have to build a new house."
    "From the looks of this place the council will have to do more that that," A man comments walking up.
    The man is holding a spear and dressed in casual clothing, a girl with long hair trails after him carrying steel fists.
     "Jace, Maia," Cade smiles, "Are you the only one Silias sent."
    "No," Jace replies, returning Cade's smile, "But I wanted to see what would make the great Kat ask for back up."
    In a flash Kat hand one of her swords resting against Jace's neck. The other one had maneuvered his attack to block Maia's fist, and Cade was pointing his crossbow at Jace.

Writing

I'm going to my local theme park today and I'm going to be there all day. Instead of doing a new Purple Moon segment, I'm going to do a piece that I've done recently and I will continue Purple Moon next week.

This about two of my character meeting, Rose is an old concept and Rai has her own novel that I'm working on editing.

 I shortened it so it wasn't super long so somethings may be confusing.

    A girl walks down the street dressed in black. Annoyance and dark energy radiate from her as she grumbles to herself. She bumps into a girl with bright red hair and matching eyes. The dark girl goes to move on but the red head grabs her arm with supernatural speed.

    "Aren't you going to apologize" she growls

    A girl behind the red head speaks "Rose, leave it. Your in a bad mood don't take it out on others"

    "Shut it, Jojo. I want an apology" Rose snaps

    The dark girl interupts "Look, I have somewhere I have to be why don't you let go and we'll pretend this never happened."

    "And if I say no" Rose replies

    The girl laughs darkly "You don't want to"

    Rose's eyes sparkle "Is that a challenge"

    "If you want it to be but you won't win"

    Faster than the natural eye could track Rose pulls out a sword and sticks it in the other girl's stomach.  The other girl sighs with annoyance and the smirk drops from Rose's face.

    The girl pulls out the sword and grunts "You've got skill but this won't kill me" she flicks her blood off the blade before handing it back "Now if you'll excuse me my brother is expecting me"

    She melts into the crowd and once she is gone Rose looks at Jojo "She wasn't even fazed."

    "Maybe she can help us"

    "I don't want help from her"

    "Rose..."

    Rose grinds her teeth "Fine"

RAI~~RAFE

    "You're late" Rakar called as I entered the house

    "Not my fault. I was held up"

    Rakar comes down the stairs. He raised an eyebrow at the hole in my shirt "What exactly held you up"

    I headed for the kitchen "Sword in the stomach"

    Rakar followed me "Start from the begining"

    I grabbed some gummy bears and explained what happened.

    He sighed when I was done "I've never heard of someone like that, ask Key about it tomarrow"

    I shrugged "If it will make you feel better, now if you'll excuse me I'm going to bed"

    My eyes shot open and I kicked a person off me. I put my hand to my neck and it came away slick with blood. I stared dumbfounded at the red head who was starting to stand. I spotted matching liquid covering her chin and mouth.

    "You bit me! You freaking bit me!"

    "If it makes you feel better your blood is like a super sweet drink mixed with poison"

    I got out of bed "Serves you right"

    I exited my room and pounded on Rakar's door "We have visitors"

    I took our unexpeced guests to the living room as soon as they sat down the red head asked "What are you. Your blood doesn't tast like a human or vampyr"

    "So that's what you are" Rakar said, appearing in the doorway.

    She nodded and I answered her question "Raphael and I are Nightmares"

ROSE~~JOJO

    "What is a Nightmare" I asked

    "The simple version is a vampyr would eats dreams instead of blood"

    "And changes shape" The boy, Raphael,  added

    "So why did you stalk Rai, she can be a pain but not that bad" Raphael asked

    Rai glared at him and Jojo answered "When we woke up yesterday nothing was the same"

    Rai rolled her eyes "Congratulations you traveled dimentions"

    "Lovely" I replied, sarcasticly "How do we get back home"

    "Rai can take you"

    "You'll have to bring me back" she responded

    "Fine by me, let go into the backyard where there is more room" He shrugged

    We followed them and at Rai's request we held her hand. She closed her eyes and a wind started up.

RAI~~RAFE

    "I'm going to travel now and whatever you do don't let go of my hand" I shouted over the wind

    Their grips tightened and there was a flash of light and my stomach dropped, then we were in another dimention. I opened my eyes and saw we were standing on a table. The people around us looked unhappy.

    "Is this correct" I asked and the red head nodded "Well then my job is done"

    I spotted a door and headed towards it. I was almost there when I felt something dig into my back. I pulled out the foreign object and saw it was a dagger.

    "What is it with you guys and weapons"

    Rose chuckled "Its alright guys she's with me"

    The tension in the air calmed "I'm going to tell Raphael to bring me back"

    "How is that possible."

    "Because were twins, but don't tell anyone its supose to be a secret. Maybe we'll see each other again."

    "Maybe" she agreed

    I felt a pull in my head and I heard my name spoken "Raishka" The room vanished and replaced with the kitchen. 

    Rakar held out a mug of hot chocolate "You're late"
