Purple Moon End

We have reached the end. If you have any questions comment them and I will answer. I would also appreciate any other comments you have about my work.
Like I said yesterday, I probably wont visit this world again unless you guys want me to do a sequel. Next week we shall start a new story and I have no idea what it will be.

Purple Moon
Epilogue
A man stands on a balcony looking out at the flourishing world around him. People wander about the square beneath him. A huge statue of a woman holding a moon and two swords is in the middle of the people. According to legend, she was the Guardian, the goddess of the moon that would help humanity in times of need. Most people went to her temples and prayed for her help for everything from finding a lost item to business endeavors. Even travelers sometimes prayed just in case, but he knew the truth about the Guardian.
He walks into the room connected to the balcony. The room contains a desk with stacks of paper, a couple bookshelves built into the wall on either side of a fireplace. A couch sits in front of the fireplace with several books on it. Above the fireplace mounted on the wall is a painting of a man from long ago with auburn hair and amber eyes that sparkle mischievously. On the mantle of the fireplace directly below the painting were two swords identical to each other.
They were the swords of the Guardian created from pieces of the moon. The Guardian used them in battle to protect her people from danger, while her powers slept. When her powers did awaken she destroyed the immediate danger and told his ancestors that it was there job to rebuild the world, while she watched over the world, but if the world was in dire need she would come again.
His ancestors, starting with the one on the wall, had built the world up from what it had been. There were still dangers, and it was his family's job to make sure the civilians stayed safe. They also worked with the temple of the Guardian to watch the moon and stars for signs. In theory, the signs would help make sure the world stayed safe, but so far, nothing had appeared to prove the theory.
The man sighs and turns back to the desk. Just as he is about to sit down, there is a knock at the door. The door opens, and a skittish looking man walks in.
"Yes?" The man next to the desk speaks.
The skittish man's eyes wander around the room until they settle on the other man then he says, "The temple wants to see you. They say that there is something that needs your attention."
"They will have to wait until later, I am busy."
"But they said there was a change, a big change." He pulls a small paper out of his pocket and reads, "The stars started twinkling faster, and for a brief moment during the night, the moon showed a purple ring."
For a moment, the man by the desk stares at the man then he quickly grabs his coat and grabs the other man before running out of the room.

Purple Moon (FM13)

I am traveling this weekend which is why I am posting weird this week but tomorrow I will do an epilogue and then that will be it for Purple Moon, unless any of you readers want me to do a sequel. After the epilogue is published I will start on my next story but I still have no idea what it will be......

Purple Moon
Full Moon 13
Luna walks over to him until she could reach out and touch his hair. The pressure inside the room increases until Cade finds it hard to breathe. Luna stares at Magnus in the eyes, and then he falls to the floor gasping for air. "Magnus, I don't think you realize the situation your in. I am so much stronger then your Queen. I am not like you and Thorn."
Magnus looks at her in surprise.
"What, you didn't think I knew the real name of your queen? I was there when she became Thorn."
"That doesn't mean that you can beat her," He spat.
Luna's eyes turn ice cold, "I already did. I told her that I would return but when we met again I was sad to see that she had not changed. I killed her, she's not going to come save you."
    "That is a lie."
Luna waves her hand in the moonlight and a picture appears of Thorn's body in the cave. Magnus' eyes widen.
"I thought that her follower might have more sense but after hearing you speak I can see that I was wrong to assume that." The picture disappears and Luna starts hovering higher off the ground. "It seems to me that any of those foolish enough to follow Thorn need to be eradicated."
The moon on Luna's shoulder glows and the moonlight turns purple, bathing the room in an ominous light. Jace gasps and the council whimpers. Power oozes from Luna and her hair floats around her head like its underwater. She looks powerful and otherworldly.
Inhuman screams drift into the room and chills settle on everyone's skin except Luna's. Luna stretches an arm out behind her and a part of the wall blasts apart, showing a City bathed in purple moonlight. Alterations are screaming as there skin burns and melts. The screams slowly die out as the Alterations disappear leaving only dust behind.
Once the screams have stopped, Luna turns back to the council, "I promised that the day of judgement would come to those who had carried out the experiment and it' legacy. That day is today but first I must deal with Magnus."
She faces Magnus and he chuckles, "Are you pretending to be any better than us, because you're not."
"I know, and I do not pretend to be any better. But unlike you I see that help is needed in order to breathe life back into this planet."
The moonlight falls on Magnus and he turns to ash. Luna looks at the council and raises her hand, a purple light engulfs them and they vanish.
Luna lowers her hand and sighs before turning to Cade and Jace, "I will be the guardian of this plant, since it is to risky for me to physically be here. I had hoped that there would be someone that could act in my stead, maybe in time there will be someone that can harness my power without them being me," She halfway smiled, "But for the moment I will leave the rebuilding of the world to the true hunters. I may have gotten rid of Thorn but there will always be dangers and if you are in dire need call out to me and I will come and help, but only if the need is great. Goodbye."
The moonlight faded as the moon went behind a cloud and Luna went with it. When the moonlight reappeared Luna was gone, leaving only her swords.
Cade sighed and picked them up, "Come on Jace, we have work to do."

Purple Moon (FM12)

Purple Moon
Full Moon 12
Cade follows Luna and Jace trails after them. Anytime an Alteration gets in their way, Luna kills them before anything happens. When they reach the base of the tower, Luna and Cade look at the damage. The doors are dented and stuck open. There is a hole in the side of the building but no movement inside.
"Are we going to go in the hole?" Cade asks.
Luna shakes her head, "No, Magnus will head for the council, and he will take his time. Jace, am I correct in assuming that the hole was created by Magnus."
Jace nods, "Yes when Dan challenged Magnus, he was launched out of the building."
Luna looks at the hole one last time before walking into the building. The power is out, so there is no blue light showing the life of the building. The doors to the council's room are gone, and Luna walks in with nothing to fear. It's obvious that there was a fight inside with how much the room is destroyed, but there is no one in the room, not even a body.
"He was here, but as you can see, he is here no longer." Luna says and looks up at the ceiling, "He is above us, as well as the council. Is there any way for us to get up there."
Cade shakes his head, "Only the council knew how to get into their private area."
Luna sighs, "That's just like them. It will take to long to find a way up. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to create more damage."
Before Jace or Cade can ask what she meant, they are in the air smashing through the sun in the roof. Luna leads the way to the top of the tower, breaking any obstacles in their path so Jace and Cade can make the trip safely. When they reach the floor that they want, she sets Cade and Jace out of the way and looks at Magnus.
Magnus is holding one of the council members by the shirt with a bone blade against their throat. He smiles at Luna and drops the human he is threatening. The council member backs into a wall where the other members are.
"Well, well, well, what have we here?" He looks Luna over, "You don't look familiar, but I feel like I should know you."
Luna's hair whips around behind her head, and her eyes have gone hard. "What are you doing, Magnus?"
He chuckles, "Just having a bit of fun while I wait for my Queen. I don't she would mind if one or two of these humans went missing. But I don't really think it's fair that you know my name, but I don't know yours."
The roof above Luna cracks and starts to break. A huge pressure fills the room as Luna glares at Magnus. "You wish to know who I am?" Her voice is deceptively soft.
He shrugs, "Not particularly, but you interest me."
The ceiling breaks spraying pieces over the room. Moonlight spills into the room, and Luna's voice has taken on a hard edge. "I am Luna, and I can not let you continue to harm these people."
"And who are you to stop me."
Luna's face is calm, but Cade notices that pure rage shines in her eyes. "Cade, things are about to get a little rough. Make sure the council members don't die."
Cade nods and Magnus starts laughing, "Are you planning to fight me, Luna. You're going to lose the only one who can beat me is my Queen."

Purple Moon (FM11)

Purple Moon
Half Moon 11
"How are we going to get there?" Cade asks
"Leave that to me. Just gather what you will need and what to bring back to the City. But only what you can carry." Luna responds
Luna goes into the moonlight while Cade quickly finds the things that he wants to take before joining hers. Luna looks at Thorn and makes a quick motion with her hand. The swords detach from the wall, and as Thorn's body fall to the floor, there is some sadness in Luna's eyes, but it quickly vanishes. The swords fly into her hands, and she turns her attention to Cade.
"Are you ready?" She asks, and he nods, "Alright when we arrive, do whatever you like but leave the bone alteration to me."
Luna touches Cade on the shoulder and looks at the moon. There is a purple flash, and they are no longer in the cave. They appear inside the City wall. Civilians around them are panicking as Alterations try to kill them. Hunters are trying to protect them, but it is hard. Cade is kneeling on the ground dizzy from his experience, but Luna is surveying the scene with cold eyes and a tight mouth.
    "What did you do?"
"It would take to long to explain, but the quick answer would be that we rode the moonlight."
Cade considers asking for a better answer but decides against it and stands up. He looks for faces he recognizes and spots Jace with Maia. Jace notices them and quickly kills the alteration he is handling before jogging over. Maia easily covers where he had been as if he was never there.
"Cade!" Jace calls all rivalry forgotten, "Where did you come from?"
As Jace gets closer, he notices Cade is injured, "And what happened to you?"
Cade looks at his bandaged arm, "We found the queen she was an E3. How did this happen?"
"Magnus is a bone Alteration. When he said he was throwing a party, he didn't mean with cake, he meant he was creating a blood bath. No one saw it coming, and when he told us his plan for this evening, we were already trapped. Dan and his partner died trying to fight him. It was Adalia and her dogs that broke us out so we could help the civilians. Her dogs somehow knew what was going to happen."
    "Where is she?" Cade asks.
"Last, I saw she was holding back Magnus with some others while the rest of us escaped."
    "Jace!" Maia suddenly shouts.
Both boys look at her seeing an Alteration heading for a crying child. Every hunter near the child was holding off another Alteration. Jace grimaces and pulls out his spear, but Cade knows he won't make it in time. Then the monster screams and Cade sees Luna has stabbed it in the back with one of the swords, wearing a cold, angry expression.
Without thinking about it, Cade whips out his crossbow and shots another Alteration trying to sneak up on her. She nods in thanks and walks back to them, immediately killing any Alteration that gets in her way.
    "Who is that?" Jace asks.
Cade doesn't answer, and Luna stops in front of them. "Enough talking, there is stuff to be done. Cade, I'm going to face Magnus, he should be in the tower you call home. What are you going to do?"
"I would like to come with you, but I can't leave these Alterations alone."
Luna nods, "Very well, wait a moment, and then we can be off."
Luna turns to the battles around them and puts up her hand. The swords fly, killing every Alteration in sight.
Jace stares are her, "Cade who exactly is that, and are those Kat's swords?"
"Alright, let's go before another wave comes," Luna says while the swords come back to her side.

Purple Moon (FM10)

I didn't mean for this one to be so long but Luna likes to talk.
Rose B.
Purple Moon
Full Moon 10
Luna sighs then turns to Cade. Cade moves his eyes from Thorn's body to Luna, who is assessing his injuries.
    "Who are you?" Cade asks.
Luna goes to touch his injured arm but he moves it away from her. "I am many things and have used many names. But I suppose you would call me an Alteration and you may call me Luna."
"You aren't like any Alteration I've ever seen."
Luna sits down on a rock next to him, but she still doesn't touch the ground. "No, I suppose I'm not, like I told Thorn my power comes from the moon. I am the only one of my kind like this."
    "Are you really Kat?"
"Yes and no. Kat is the name of your friend, I existed long before her, but for the duration that Kat existed, I slept inside her. In a way, she is still alive since I have her memories. She has influenced me...no that's not correct, she has become a part of me."
    "Where did you come from?"
She sighs, "If you wish to know my story, it is a long one that will take time."
"Then just sum it up if you really have Kat's memories you will know what I know so you can just build on top of it."
"Alright but can I help your injuries while I do so, it will save time. I may not be much of a healer, but what I can do will help you through the next battle."
He nods, and she takes his arm before speaking.
"Like Thorn, I was a normal girl before the scientists took me away. I was to be the last subject of these particular experiments then they would change to the experiments that would create the Alterations that you know of. I do not remember my change, but after my change, I was different, unable to remember my previous life, all I could do was exist. Like all of the ones that went before me, I began to die about a week after I was changed. I didn't want to die, and the moon answered my request and gave me the power to survive.
"The moon told me many things some of the lesser important ones being those the scientists had picked weren't random they pick people that had the greatest chance of succeeding in their experimentation and that what they were doing had something to do with war and battle. She told me everything I needed to know to understand what would come to pass and what my role would be. Those that came after also needed to gain the power to survive, but unlike me, they found it within themselves. When the moon told me the time was right, I freed everyone.
"The two places Kat, Adalia and you traveled to were the cities containing the labs that held us. The one that is no longer there, is were Thorn was. We always hated each other and after I freed her we had a battle that destroyed the town. Our rivalry was the reason Blood Alterations made Kat agitated. After I defeated Thorn I told her that I was going to sleep and but would be back I gave her a poem of sorts to remember so she could remember how much time she had, it was one Kat thought was a lullaby from her mother. I slept in the moon and when it was time for me to start waking up the moon put me back on Earth with the twin swords she crafted to help. From that moment on Kat was alive with fake memories and I was sleeping in the back of her mind. You have seen the rest."
Cade looks her over, his wounds were bandaged and clean. "I have three questions left: Why did Kat never use your power, What is your purpose, and how come you aren't touching the ground."
Luna laughs at the last question but replies, "You are a very interesting person, Cade. I can see why Kat enjoyed your company. I don't touch the ground because my power comes from the moon, it was sleeping with me while Kat did what she wanted which is why she touched the ground and shouldn't have been able to access my powers, but she did. You saw it as impossible agility and the way she handled the swords. But the biggest thing she did was the trick she did to you and Jace, even she didn't really know how she accomplished it. My purpose is to be a guardian of sorts, but we can get into that later right know we need to help your comrades."

Purple Moon (FM9)

Purple Moon
Full Moon 9
Cade stares at this new Kat. The Queen said luna, is that the name of her? If it is it sounds like there is history between them, but how can that be if that really is Kat?
The girl's eyes open, revealing them to be just as purple as Kat's eyes, but now they held ancient knowledge in their depths. She descends until her feet are just barely off the floor.
She looks directly at the Queen. "Thorn" her voice fills the cavern, soft and beautiful but filled with power. "It seems you have grown stronger, but I wonder if you accomplished all that you wanted to."
The queen approaches the other alteration, "Of course. I have mastered the power of blood, and as we speak, my revenge is being taken. Not to mention all of our brethren call me the queen now not you."
Luna looks at her rival almost pityingly, "I knew you were short-sighted, but I had hoped you would grow out of it with time, it appears I was wrong."
Thorn snarls at her, but Luna ignores it turning her attention to Cade noting his injuries and how tired he is. "Let me finish up here, and then we can go help your comrades."
"I don't think you realize the position you are in, Luna," Thorn says, bringing Luna's attention back to her. "You have no one to back you up, and the humans won't help you; they don't help anyone like us."
"Thorn...who said I would need help."
Kat's sword rose from the ground and attack Thorn. Startled, Thorn barely blocks the attack. She recovers quickly and sends an attack of her own. But Luna doesn't move as the blood, sharpened to deadly points, head straight for her. They hit the moonlight and splatter onto the rock floor. Thorn clenches her jaw, but she doesn't have a lot of time to think because Luna is attacking again.
This time the swords don't stop with one attack. Luna doesn't move, but the swords fly with the skill they gained from all the fights with Kat. Thorn is constantly on the defensive, and eventually, the swords become faster than she can defend, and she is forced to retreat until her back touches one of the walls. Then the swords stop.
Thorn is out of breath, and her blood armor is crumbling. Luna hasn't moved, and her face is impassive. The two Alteration's stare at each other then Thorn starts laughing.
"Even if I lose here, I still win. There's no way you can move fast enough to get to the real battle in time."
The moon goes behind a cloud, and Luna's eyes became a dark stormy purple. "Thorn, there is no need for you to define what I can and can not do. Your power comes from you're blood and is bound by your own limitations. My power comes from the moon and far exceeds yours. You claim to be queen and yet of the Originals you are the youngest and least developed." The ground shook, and the hole letting in the moonlight widened as the ceiling crumbled. "If you had not been so short-sighted you would have been able to see that we are not here to be destroyers we are here to be protectors. But you can not see anything beyond your own desires and are willing to bring down others with you as long as you can reach your goal."
Luna moves her hand, and the swords stab Thorn, pinning her to the wall. Thorn coughs out blood and just looks as Luna with a pained smirk on her face. "You may kill me, but there will be others like me, Luna, ones that don't agree with your...ideals. They will come from those like us, but they will also be in the humans you love."
The storm in Luna's eyes vanishes, and she closes her eyes. "Sleep, it is time that you join those that came before us in the stars. Hopefully, you will begin to understand as you watch the world from up there." When Luna opens her eyes, Thorn is already dead.

Purple Moon (FM8)

Purple Moon
Full Moon 8
The water from the other tanks swirled around Luna. The others looked at Luna with aw as they stepped out of their broken tanks. The watchers looked on with fear in their eyes. Luna turned her attention to the exit and shot water at the ceiling. The concrete exploded outward, and she could hear the startled cries of people from above. The others became excited at shoved themselves through the exit. Luna ignored them at looked at the watchers.
Your time of control is done. I will not kill you but don't think that this is mercy. Your time of punishment will come, and when it does, you will have wished that I had killed you.
They just stared at her, but she didn't care. She moved up through the exit to a blank room. There were signs that someone had been here, but they were gone. Luna kept moving until she reached the outside world. She looked up at the moon and breathed in the air. People in the town around her were screaming and running. Some of the ones that she had released were the cause of the screaming the rest of them had disappeared into the night.
But there were still others that needed freedom. She turned her back on the town and headed south, to Thorn's den.
The town Thorn was in was quiet compared to the one she had just come from. As she approached the building Thorn was in, she could feel Thorn gathering her power. Luna noted that Thorn had gotten stronger while they were apart before she gathered her power too. This time no one would be able to stop the power battle.
The air vibrated, and Luna started to glow. The screams started in Thorn's building, and several explosions rang through the night as Thorn came closer. Then the wall just beneath Luna blasted outward and Thorn appeared.
"I wondered when you would show up," Thorn commented.
Luna looked her over. Thorn's physical state was fine, but Luna could tell by the way her red eyes glimmered that her mental state was in tatters.
"I did tell you that we would meet again," Luna responded.
Thorn laughed, "And this time no one will come to help you."
Luna sighed, "If that is what you wish."
Thorn smiled, "Then let us begin."
Luna closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opened them again, Thorn was already coming after her.
The power battle didn't last very long, but when it ended, the town was almost completely gone, and Thorn was breathing hard while Luna was not.
"You did well for today." Luna commented, "But not as well as you can do. I am leaving for a period of time, sleeping you could say. It will be up to you if you have grown stronger when I wake. It will take me a long time to fully wake, four stages to be exact: No Moon, Crescent Moon, Half Moon, and Full Moon."
"And why should I care about these stages?" Thorn growled.
"In the No Moon, Blood has its greatest chance. Then come Crescent Moon, to begin the cycle. The Half Moon is next, and what is lost starts to return. Last of all is Full Moon to show the scales have changed."
The moon came out from behind a cloud, and the moonlight gathered on to Luna's skin. There was a flash of purple light, and then she was gone. Leaving Thorn shocked and angry.
Years later, a woman appears coming out of an abandoned town. Her hair is short and black. In her hands, she carries twin swords supposedly made from moon rock. The road she walks will lead her to the City, to an organization of hunters. Her eyes are a fierce purple only seen in Alterations, but in their depths, an ancient power sleeps. The only proof that it is there is the purple crescent moon on her shoulder blade.

Purple Moon (FM7)

As promised here is the next segment, a little late but I did finish it. Enjoy.
Rose B.
Purple Moon
Full Moon 7
Luna looked over at the other tanks. The latest replacement seemed to have settled in. Unlike many of the others she had adapted, her silver hair and red eyes were proof of that. Once she adapted, she had come to call herself Thorn. She had also developed a dislike for Luna, which Luna was okay with since the feeling was mutual.
Thorn's tanka was not the one next to her, so the ones that lived in the tanks between them were often caught in the middle of their power battles. Their battles never went anywhere since the watchers stopped them before they could prove who was stronger. The others tended to side more with Luna then Thorn since Luna was less violent.
Thorn hated the watchers with a passion, and anytime one came near her, she tried to lash out at them. She never succeeded in anything but making them jump, so they learned to avoid her tank and sent the new watchers to do the measurements on her tank. Luna hated the watchers too, but she knew now wasn't the time to fight them.
Luna heard something new and turned to look at a group of watchers and new people. They were discussing something and gesturing at the tanks. One of the watchers pointed specifically at Thorn's tank. Luna looked at Thorn and saw her narrowing her angry eyes at the group. Luna looked back and saw the new people nod in understanding before leaving.
Luna started to go back into her dreamlike state when she felt Thorn's eyes turn on her. Slowly she looked at Thorn. Thorn did this every time she was tired of picking on the others. One day Luna would show Thorn just how wrong she was to try and pick a fight with her, but it could wait until after the watchers had been dealt with.
The new people came back and started to haul away empty tanks. Once they were done with that, they talked to the watchers again. The conversation was short, and once they had been instructed, the new people started messing with Thorn's tank.
Intrigued, Luna paid more attention as the new people bundled up the tanks and started moving it. Thorn was to busy glaring at the people moving her to think about what was happening, but Luna assumed that she was going to a different place.
Thorn finally realized that she could do anything and glared at Luna as if she was the cause of her movement.
Luna just looked at her passively and thought, Don't worry, we will meet again. It may be a while, but it will happen. Once she had said, her piece, Luna turned her back to Thorn and entered the dreamlike state.

Purple Moon (FM6)

I didn't put this last time since the post was so long but it's been a year since I started this blog and I thank you readers. I had a lot of things to do to day so sorry I'm posting this so late. And since I am currently on my phone I will change any mistakes or problems when I can get to my computer.
Purple Moon
Full Moon 6
The feeling of floating is the first thing she is aware of. Next comes something brushing against her skin. She opens her eyes and sees people staring at her from outside the water. Her eyes roam over the crowd until she spots the man who seems to be in charge.
"Very good everyone subject 051 is stable, now let's get back to work," The man who looked in charge said.
Everyone turned away from her, and she looked around. Her container was filled with water, and a single-window next to her container let in natural light. Her container was just big enough so she wouldn't be cramped but small enough where she couldn't swim around. Long purple hair surrounded her, and her skin was fair and soft.
Who am I? She wondered Is 051 my name?
She looked at the room outside the container and saw people in white roaming around sticking their instruments in other tanks that contained others like her. She looked for a while at the others like her before going into a half-sleeping state.
Days passed like that. Occasionally one of the ones in the tanks would die, and a new one replace them, but they were different from the ones that came before them. Eventually, she was the only one left of the old ones, and the day came where she could feel herself dying. The people in white, which she had come to call watchers, seemed to be waiting for her die and would glance at her tank every once in a while.
She looked out the window at the big full moon. Darkness ate at the edges of her vision, and her heartbeat started to slow. Just as she was accepting that she would end up like the others, a voice filled her head.
Do you want to live, young one?
She turned away from the moonlight entering her tank and responded, What would be the point, when I don't even know my own name?
I could give you a name, and with it, you could be reborn.
    Reborn?
Yes, if you accept my gift.
She thought about it then said. Alright as long as I get a name.
The moonlight fell on her back, and her back started to glow purple. The watchers turned towards her, and she closed her eyes. She feels the moonlight fill her and as if someone flipped a switch, she understood.
Luna opened her eyes, and the light faded to just a crescent shape on her shoulder blade. The watchers looked at her awed, but they were unimportant. For the moment, all Luna had to do was wait, until the time was right. Until then, she would just bide her time.

Purple Moon (FM5)

Purple Moon
Full Moon 5
Angelica watched warily as two men got out of the van. For a moment, they talked about something before walking over to her. As they approached her, she pulled out her phone, ready to dial the police.
"Sorry to bother you." one man said, "but would you happen to be Angelica?"
"Why do you want to know?" She asked.
The man looked at his companion, who nodded. The companion grabbed her arm, pulled her towards him, and spun her around. By the time she realized what was going on, her arms were pinned behind her back, and a cloth was put in her mouth.
As she was being carried towards the van, she kicked and screamed, trying to squirm her way out of the man's arms. The man never let go, and she only ended up dropping her phone and messing up her clothes.
They shoved her into the back of the van and closed the doors. As the van started up and drove off, Angelica realized that the men acted as if they had done this before and her chances of getting away were very, very slim.
After a while, the van stopped at its destination. The men pulled Angelica out of the back and lead her towards a huge building covered with glass. They entered through a backdoor and Angelica saw lots of people moving around. Some were moving faster than others, but all of them ignored Angelica and the two men.
The men kept a strong grip on Angelica and took her to the second floor. There were more people on this floor wearing lab coats, they seemed more relaxed than those on the first floor, but they still ignored Angelica. Then men brought her to a room with a researcher and an elevator.
One of the men holding her coughed and the researcher looked up.
"Ah welcome back seems like you brought something good with you."
The researcher stood up and looked her over. Then he walked over to the elevator and swiped his card. The doors opened, and the men dragged Angelica into it. The researcher followed after them and pushed the only button in the elevator. The doors closed and as they descended Angelica couldn't help but think of what awaited her.
The doors opened, and Angelica was pulled into a room filled with researchers and tanks. The tanks were what caught Angelica's attention. They were filled with water, and in each of them, a person was floating. But they didn't look like normal humans some only had abnormal color hair. Others were deformed with animal aspects that meshed horribly with the human parts.
Angelica could only stare shocked and scared. Her mind came up with all the horrible things that they could and probably would do to her.
An alarm went off, and researchers looked at a tank containing a female who had fins coming out of her side as well as spikes running down her spine on to a tail. She was thrashing around clawing as her throat with her abnormally small hands.
The researcher who came with them sighed, "Another failure."
The woman's slitted eyes in the tank went huge, and she reached for the glass. But just as fingers brushed against it, she sank to the bottom of the tank, dead.
The researchers started the process of cleaning the tank and the one that came with them, turned to another man who had brought a syringe full of liquid. "This new subject will be the last of these experiments, the higher-ups want us to start on the next concept."
The researcher with the syringe nodded before injecting the liquid into Angelica.
