Purple Moon(CM4)

Purple Moon
Crescent Moon 4
"So what is our job," Cade asks.
Kat doesn't answer and keeps walking towards the door. Cade knows she won't talk because she is mad.
"Don't be like that. You know that I hate going to visit the tech people."
Kat turns on him just before they reach the doors. Anger making her eyes sparkle like steel. "You should care a little more. Not all of us can be as irresponsible as you."
Cade drops his relaxed face, and his tone is not as carefree, "I know that. You're in a mad mood did the Council chew you up again."
"No, and the only reason they lecture me is because of your actions."
    "Then what is it?"
Kat walks out into the City before she replies, "We're going after a blood Alteration."
Cade nods, knowing that blood Alterations always made her irritable and the fact that she didn't know why made it worse. "Alright then let's this over with you can tell me the details on the way."
Kat nods and they walk to the main gate that lead to the world destroyed by war and Alterations.
"Will we need bikes," Cade asks.
Kat nods, "The northern settlement is a ways from here."
Cade walks over to their motorcycles. Sleek and streamline they sit waiting for someone to turn them on. They are black and designed so that when you sat properly on it, you became part of the aerodynamics. Cade touches the console in between the handlebars and the bike purres to life. A dim blue glow comes from slits on the side of the body where the engine sits.
"My fuel rods are low," Cade says looking at the blue light.
Kat turns her bike on and straddles it, "Then you should have changed them when I told you too. You better hope that you have enough power to get you there and back again because your not riding with me."
"You would just leave me there," Cade says with a slight whimper.
Kat puts on a pair of clear glasses and leans forward to grab the handlebars, "You shouldn't have to ask that. With the mood I'm in, I would just take you to the middle of the desert and let you find your own way home."
Cade didn't doubt it. She probably wouldn't even send help until a couple days later. He thinks while getting on his own bike.
Kat hits a button on the side of her glasses and words scroll across them while they identify key things around them. Once they settle, she revs her engine and takes off not checking to see if Cade is following.
