Calypso's Rage ~ 8

Calypso's Rage
Eight
Over the merchant's head I saw Kane smile and Estella shake her head.
"I could have sworn that you said your passenger was a girl." I replied
"No, I didn't. What do you know about my passenger?" He asked his voice still hard
I shook my head and started to walk toward the pub "Like I said before you are better off leaving."
    "No."
I stopped and smiled at my companions but removed it before turning around. "Why do you care so much?" I asked
He looked away from my gaze and I grinned again
"You like her. You barely knew your passenger and yet you fancy her."
"Is there a problem with that." He asked subbornly
I chuckled "No but now I know your a fool."
"How does that make me a fool?"
"Did the girl ever asked to be rescued? How do you know she doesn't like where she is?"
"No one likes to be captured by pirates."
    "Unless she is a pirate."
    "That's not possible!"
I raised an eyebrow "Are you sure. Woman pirates are not uncommon and Caspian is not the type to take prisoners."
    "There's no way!"
I rolled my eyes "Now your just being stubborn. If you come after her she may not be as ahppy as your hoped."
    "How would you know?"
I took my hat off, letting my hair down. It brushed my shoulders and I looked the merchant in the eye as I put the hat back on. "Because, I'm her. Did you ever wonder how a pirate ship found you in the middle of a fog when you were dead silent." He was obviously shocked but I continued, "Caspian is my captain. He was running low on supplies and that was the quickest way to get them. I sang a shanty allowing them to find your ship."
He sat down on a barrel his eyes slightly broken. "But..."
I leaned over him, "Its nothing personal, your were simply an easy target. You're lucky you cooperated, Caspian could have done worse."
I straightened and put my hair back in my hat. As I leaving he called out, "Wait, why did people tell me to avoid your group."
I smiled devilishly "Because I am Caspian." I walked back into the pub with my companions following me and stated, "I need another drink."

Calypso's Rage ~ 7

So sorry I forgot that it was the day I normally write until it was to late. So you get the post today.
Rose B.
Calypso's Rage
Seven
"Hello," I said "What brings a merchant to a table of pirates?"
"I was hoping I could talk to you."
I raised an eyebrow and looked at my companions. Kane was hiding a smile, Estella looked bored and Sawyer was trying to not seem to interested and failing. "Very well, but lets go outside."
I stood up without waiting for an answer and nodded to the bartender. The bartender just shook his head and ignored us. I walked out the back door and leaned against a fence. Kane and Estella took Sawyer off to the side while the merchant watched them.
"So what is it you wanted from me?" I asked
"My ship was raided a few days ago. I don't care about the cargo but I think that a passenger that was riding with me might have been kidnapped."
"And why is it any of my business what happened on your ship."
He gulped and glanced again at my companions "I need to find this passenger and since this is a place where pirates frequent...."
He trailed off and I smiled "You're lying."
He looked at me startled "What?"
I pushed off the wall and leaned towards him the smile dropping off my face "You're lying. If you wanted a pirates help you could have stayed at the docks. You sought me out. So you better tell the truth before I become bored or mad."
He didn't back away, instead his eyes became hard and determined. I smiled wickedly and stood up straight.
"Fine." He spat, "I am looking for the passenger but I didn't come to ask for help. I recognized a ship docked in the port as the one that raided mine. I asked around and learned the captain of the ship liked this bar. Everyone I talked to warned me away from talking to the captain. It wasn't until the bartender did the same that I knew the captain was in your group."
"Do you know the name of the captain you are looking for?" I asked
"No one ever called him by name. They only referred to him as a devil or demon."
"Although most pirates have that title I know exactly which one you are looking for. Have you ever heard of Captain Caspian?"
He nodded "I've heard the sailors talk about him."
"Well then I suggest you walk away and forget about your passenger. Nothing good comes from talking to Caspian, not for you and not for the girl you carried."
I waited to see if he would take the bait and after a moment of thought, he did with a glare and a voice of stone.
"I never mentioned my passengers gender."

Calypso's Rage ~ 6

Calypso's Rage
Six
Kane slung his arm around my shoulders as the door shut, "Well I need a drink to calm my thoughts who what's to come with me."
I rolled my eyes, "Sometimes I wonder if you need drink to do everything in your life."
"Is that a yes?" He asked ignoring my comment
    I rolled my eyes "Aye"
Estella nodded "We could all use a drink. Come Captain Sawyer I want to see if you can hold your liquor."
He grumbled but didn't say no. As we walked to our favored pub Sawyer kept glancing at me. Once we were settled down and all had our drinks I confronted Sawyer.
"If you have something you wish to say Sawyer, then speak."
Kane laughed and Sawyer looked at me startled before replying, "Surely you can't be the Caspian of rumors?"
"Unlike Kane I don't keep up with my rumors so your going to have to tell me which one you are talking about."
Kane almost spit our his drink and glared at me but I gave him one of my devilish smiles as a response.
Sawyer glanced around before speaking "Supposedly your appearance changes every time you raid a ship. Even though you bargain with captains of other ships they always ended up worse off then if you just took the cargo. The captains can never tell it was you until they are watching their ship sink from a small dingy and you are sailing away."
I raised an eyebrow "That last one was rather specific. But all rumors have a grain of truth."
"So what is the grain of truth?" He asked as a the sound of a fight starting up came from behind us.
Estella answered "Caspian never spills his secrets."
I glanced behind me and saw someone I recognized, the merchant from before. He saw me and gestured for the bartender to look at our table. He did and I smiled at him. I couldn't hear anything but it looked like the bartender was trying to convince the merchant to leave me alone, without success.
I turned back to my companions and chuckled "Looks like I have someone who wants to talk to me."
Kane shook his head, "Sawyer if you doubt that Caspian is sitting before you then your about to see some proof, the poor bastard."
Sawyer looked around the table confused but wasn't able to say anything since the merchant walked up at that moment.

Tired

School has completely killed my brain this week so I won't be writing a new Calypso's Rage segment today. I'm going to curl up into a ball and sleep while you enjoy this thing I wrote a while ago.

Rose fall into the water
Plick
    Plick
Plick
    Plick
Their petals grow heavier
As water rushes to get on them
Slowly
Silently
Petal by petal
They are dragged under
And sink to the bottom

Calypso's Rage ~ 5

Calypso's Rage
Five
I glared at Kane, "Are you trying to say something"
Annice rubbed her temples, "Let it go Cass and Kane don't pick fights."
"Are you going to tell us why you gathered us?" Estella asked
Annice nodded, "Yes, It seems that there is a new threat on the seas."
I raised an eyebrow, "Like the Navy has hired a new pirate hunter."
"No, Something has been sinking Navy ships. From what I've seen it, the ships are totally demolished, leaving only bits of wood washed up on shores. So far they haven't found any survivors."
"If nothing was left how did they find out the ships had been attacked?" Kane asked
"Well they loose contact with the ships, sometimes hearing the sounds of battle sometimes not. They find rubble one shores that would have come from the same place where they lost contact with the ship. Some of the rubble has distinguishing features so they know exactly which ship it use to be."
Kane thought about that and Annice continued.
"The Navy thinks it pirates, so be careful they will be watching closely."
"But you don't think a pirate did this." Estella stated
"No, a pirate couldn't have caused this. I don't necessarily think that whatever attacked the ships will stop at just Navy ships."
"So watch out for the Navy and for something mysterious that is attacking the Navy ships." I summarized
Annice nodded and Sawyer asked, "Any idea what this mysterious thing could be, or any descriptions?"
"No, but it blows these ships to bits in the amount of time it takes for another ship in the nearby area to come help them."
    "That's quick." I muttered calculating
"So if it finds us we probably won't get away." Kane said
Annice shrugged, "Maybe, I can't calculate that for you. But if you do end up engaging it in battle try to survive so you can tell me what it was."
I rolled my eyes and Kane chuckled, "Cunning as ever."
Annice bowed "I look out for the welfare of my city."
I smiled, "Why are you surprised, Kane? I thought we agreed she was just like a pirate captain only with a city instead of a ship."
Kane nodded "Aye, that we did, but sometimes its still surprising."
Annice had a slight smile on her face as she said, "Now that is all I have to say. As always, you are welcome to stay in my city as long as you don't cause to much of a disturbance, and if you need anything from me you must make an appointment."
And with that we were escorted out of the house by the man that brought us in before.

Calypso's Rage ~ 4

Calypso's Rage
Four
Kane started walking towards the huge house on the hill and I followed him.
"Any idea what the summon is for?" I asked as we weaved our way through a group of people.
He shook his head "No, but I can tell you that it's probably nothing good."
I nodded "Then we will just have to make the best of the coming storm."
He laughed as we reached the doors of the huge house "Aye."
Before we could knock a man opened the door and peered down his nose at us. He was dressed nicely but there was only disdain in his eyes "The Lady has been expecting you."
He stepped back and let us in. "Follow me and don't touch anything."
"Worried that We'll steal something?" I asked and Kane laughed
"No" He replied, unamused "Anything touched my you would destroy it's value and it would take me a long time to replace it."
Kane glared at the man but I just shook my head. He lead us to a door on the upper floor and knocked.
"Come in." A woman's voice called out
He opened the door and after shooing us in, shut it. Sitting at a desk was a beautiful woman dresses like a high class woman, Lady Annice, the window behind her let in the sunlight from the outside making the room seems warm and inviting. In the window was another women dressed in pants and a corset top Captain Estella, just as deadly as a male captain but much less forgiving.
"Well, look what the tide brought." A young man on a couch said.
He had an arrogant air about him and a cocky face. Kane sighed and went to stand next to Estella.
"And who would you be." I asked folding my arms
"Captain Sawyer, youngest pirate captain on the seas."
"Dumbest one too." I said raising an eyebrow
"And who are you to say that?" He asked
Before he could say anything else I was behind him with a sword to his throat "Your arrogance lowers your reaction time, you might want to be careful not many people faced with my sword have a second chance at life."
He gulped and Kane laughed "Come now Cass, at least give him a chance to learn."
I sheathed my sword and turned to Kane with a smile on my face "I was just toying with him."
Estella snorted "When you toy with people there's a chance they won't survive."
I shrugged "All a part of the pirate life."
I felt Annice's heated look and turned my attention to her. "Something wrong, Lady Annice?"
"I told Jack to not let you wear the boy outfit."
"But I'm not wearing wearing a boy outfit, I'm wearing my captain one."
She glared at me and Kane laughed "Come now Annice, what else do you expect of Captain Caspian, devil of the sea."
Sawyer looked at me shocked but everyone ignored him.
She sighed "I didn't want to see Caspian, I wanted to see Cassidy."
    "Cassidy?" Sawyer asked
Annice sighed "I forget that new people don't know. Everyone this is Sawyer a new captain with potential. Sawyer, you know Kane and already met Estella. This is Captain Caspian, the bargaining demon."
Kane jumped in "Caspian is actually a girl named Cassidy, but good luck trying to get a glimpse of the female side."

Calypso's Rage ~ 3

Sorry this is late I was traveling and I couldn't publish before I left because I still needed the name of Annice's town.
Rose B.
Calypso's Rage
Three
Jack guided the ship with an expert hand avoiding the sunken buildings that were beneath us. he took us to a small island that looked deserted from a distance but when we enter the bay, its easy to see that it is not deserted at all.
Little shacks made out of various materials are scattered around the island, the one thing that was similar about them was that they were ready to be removed at a moments notice. The only building on the island that wasn't like that was the one that had been build long before we found the island. It had the best view of the bay and was where I lived when we weren't on the ship.
The crew cheered when we docked, and set to work unloading the cargo and checking over the Calypso's Rage to see if anything needed to be repaired or replaced.
Once Jack had let go of the wheel I asked "Anything of note since I've been away."
"Captain Garrison sent a message saying he wanted to talk, we sent one back saying that you were currently busy." He replied as we walked down the deck
I sighed "I dislike dealing with Garrison. We'll see how long his patience lasts."
Jack's mouth twitched in amusement but he continued with business "Lady Annice said she is expecting a visit from you and said to "not be wearing that foolish boy outfit" she was quite serious."
"Fine, I won't show up in a boy outfit, I'll wear my captain one."
He rolled his eyes "She's not going to like that."
"To bad, I'm a captain so I'll be dressed as one."
We got off the ship and walked down the dock. "We got a good haul for that merchant the crew will be glad to go into town." Jack mentioned
I nodded "Then we can go tomorrow, I suspect that I am not the only one that she summoned."
"While you're talking to her I will sell the goods we don't need and pass out the shares."
"I suspect that the others will want to talk so we will probably be staying the night."
He stops in the road "I'll tell the lads, you go sleep. You're going to need it if you deal with the other captains tomorrow."
I rolled my eyes and walked up to my house.

The next morning, I dressed in my normal captain attire. When Jack came to get me he just chuckled and shook his head. We set off no to long after that the ride was uneventful, until the crew realized we were headed to Vale, a town run by Annice, and a safe place for pirates to relax. We docked and I jumped off the ship and I left Jack to deal with the crew. As I was walking towards Annice's house, I spotted a pirate waiting for me.
He was decked out in red and black, by the way he carried himself it was easy to see that he was an experienced pirate. "I thought that I saw Calypso's Rage coming in and it looks like I was right. Nice to see you again, Caspian."
I put on the devilish smile people expected of Caspian and said "I'm assuming you were summoned too, Kane."
He laughed and nodded. "Aye lad, I just arrived myself. We can greet the Lady together."
