Calypso's Rage
Two
I watched as sailors moved about getting the ship ready for departure. I had removed my makeup and changed dresses to that of a light weight one, perfect for traveling.A suitcase was at my feet carrying the other dress. The merchant I talked to earlier was talking with the another crew member. Once everything was in order and we moved away from port he came over to me.
"It is a beautiful night despite the fog" I said motioning to the water
"Yes, It will get quite cold out tonight and you are welcome to my quarters if you need it."
I nodded and he walked off. The crew was slightly on edge but the more we sailed the more they relaxed. After a while the tension was almost completely gone and they were acting normally. That was when I started singing.
"Now are we ready to head for the Horn,
Way, ay roll an' go.
Our boots an' our clothes boys are all in the pawn,
Timmie rollickin' randy dandy O.
Heave a pawl, oh, heave away,
Way, ay, roll an' go.
The anchor's on board an' the cable's all stored,
Timme rollickin' randy dandy O.
Come breast the bars, bullies, an' heave her away,
Way, ay roll an' go.
Soon we'll be rollin' her 'way down the Bay,
Timmie rollickin' randy dandy O."
Out of the fog came a ship. It was silent and no one noticed it until it was to late. Sailors called out warnings as grappling hooks came from the other ship and latched on to the this one. Once the ships were securely attached to each other, pirates jumped across. They quickly disarmed and gathered up the sailors.
The merchant came up from the hold and barked "What is going on here."
A big man with natural tan skin walked up to him. "Exactly what it looks like. Your being raided."
The merchant just stared at him and another pirate came up to me.
"Take what's needed but not everything." I whispered, "There's no need for anything else."
The pirate did a slight bow and lifted his chin to the right.
The big man glanced at the pirate next to me then said "We'll take what we need then leave. All you have to do is sit quietly and nothing will happen."
The merchant grimaced but said nothing. The big man waved other pirates forward and soon there was everything that was needed was taken from the hold. While the merchant was busy totaling how many wares the pirates were taking the pirate next to me escorted me, and my luggage, to the other ship. When I was safely on board he left with a bow and helped the others carry the cargo into the hold.
Once everything was safely on the pirate ship, the pirates released the hooks and came back to their ship. The big man was the last one back and as we sailed away from the recently raided ship he came to my side.
    "Are you alright?" He asked
I rolled my eyes "I'm fine, Jack"
But he still looked me over, checking for himself. "I never know why I agree to these silly plots."
"I only do them when we are in dire need, so you have no choice but to agree." I sighed "Are you quite done? I want to change out of these clothes."
He smiled slightly and nodded. I walked into my captain's quarters and changed in to my preferred clothes. I stuck my swords in there sheaths and I walked outside. As soon as my feet hit the deck, the crew cheered.
"Ready to go home lads." I shouted
They cheered again and I walked up next to Jack. I breathed in the sea air and sighed, "Take us home Jack."
    "Welcome back, Captain Caspian."
