Calypso's Rage
Fifteen
"Garrison," I greeted my tone harsh
His eyes twinkled as I stepped off my ship and I had a feeling that this wouldn't be one of the better visits. Jack and Rex didn't say anything but they watched Garrison's every move and glared at his guards. Garrison ignored them as his gaze swept over me. Goosebumps crawled up my spine but I managed not to shiver.
"As always Caspian, an air of beauty and youth follows you making you seem almost doll like." Garrison said and I swore there was lust hidden within the envy in his eyes.
"I can see the jealousy in your eyes, Garrison." I warned
He chuckled, a sick sound, "My apologies it wasn't my intention to anger you. But I cannot help but wish..."
He trailed off but the way the hands at his side moved as if to touch me almost made me gag.
"What is it you called me for Garrison. I have other things I need to attend to and do not have time to spend on pointless talk."
Garrison nodded, "Of course, if you would follow me."
He led the way up to his house. His guards waited for Jack, Rex and me before following. I hated having them around us but I tolerated it. Once we entered the house they didn't stick to us as closely but that relief was quickly squashed as we entered Garrison's trophy hall. It contained souvenirs from the days he played pirate, and sounded a lot more normal than what it was. Garrison's "souvenirs" weren't trinkets. They were things that ranged from living things to once belonged to something living.
I glared at the back of Garrison's head so I wouldn't glance at the things around me. As we approached the room at the end of the hall I steeled myself for the surprise of the trip. Garrison's eyes lit up as he opened the door to a normal room. Suspicion filled me as I looked around the room but it only contained a place to talk, windows and more doors.
Garrison walked into the room and I followed, "As you know I always have my latest prize in this room to show off to guests. But my latest one is...ah...not something meant for all of my guests."
He clapped his hands and through a different door came two of Garrison's guards carrying chains that led to a girl dressed up in a thin costume that held no warmth. One chain was connected to a collar on her neck the other, longer one, was connected to her wrists. They connected the longer chain to the wall closest to the sitting area and removed the other chain before leaving.
Garrison smiled gleefully and led the way to the sitting area. Garrison sat down first and I sat down across from him but Jack and Rex remained standing behind me. Garrison motioned and the girl sat down next to him. The metal pieces on her outfit jingled and she looked scared and nervous.
